AIA released the achievement of 2012 fiscal year which showed that the value of new business rose 27%, a new record. Meanwhile, the Company net profit attributable of shareholders increased 89% to 3.019 billion dollars.
The new business growth of AIA is more prominent in the market environment of slowdown in the past two years. The value of new business in 2011 had increased by 40% year on year.
On this basis, compared with 2011, in the 2012 fiscal year, the value of new business grew to 1.188 billion dollars, an increase of 27%, and the profit of new business increased by 6.4 percentage points to 43.6%.
At the same time, compared with 2011, the connotation value of the AIA in 2012 fiscal year increased 15% to 31.408 billion dollars, the connotation value operating profits increased by 12% to 3.491 billion dollars.
