Taiwan-based crystalline silicon solar cell maker Motech Industries has reported that its third-quarter 2013 consolidated revenues grew 24.26% sequentially to NT$6.346 billion (US$213 million), while gross operating profit hiked 104.61% to NT$771 million and net profit soared 273.38% to NT$394 million.
With net earnings per share of NT$0.90 for the third quarter, Motech still suffered net loss per share of NT$0.31 for January-September due to net loss of NT$544 million for January-June, the company indicated. Business operation in the fourth quarter is expected to remain similar to the preceding quarter and thus the whole year of 2013 is likely to see profits, Motech said.
