Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group has expanded new overseas market. Recently, it has won the general contract of Vietnam Ha Tinh Steel Whole Plant Railway Project. This project is the first of Baosteel Engineering to engage in industrial railway field, not only break the record high of overseas project in contract rate, but also initiate an active attempt to enter a new engineering field and improve the contracting capability of overseas engineering project.
Since 2nd half of 2010, Baosteel engineering has followed closely this overseas project. Due to the lack of such experience in industrial railway engineering, technical and marketing staff from engineering design institute planning logistic department, marketing department and relevant sectors have overcome plenty of difficulties and check large amount of data so as to win the favor of the owner through excellent design proposal, and get the engineering contract at early stage. In the equipment & construction project bidding, Baosteel Engineering has supported a lot. The project team has continuously optimized the proposal, made pre-arranged plan to reduce project investment and production cost by fine design, rational organization and scientific management, and finally earn trust and recognition from the owner, defeat many competitors from home and abroad, to get the main contract.
It is reported that this project will be stared in this Jun. Till May, 2015, railway construction supportive to 1# BF will be completed and put into use. Till May, 2016, railway construction supportive to 2# BF will be completed.
