According to data, Japan’s exports of hot rolled coils (HRC) totaled 867,428 tons in October, down by 2% from a month ago but rising by 8.3% year on year.
Meanwhile, the country’s HRC export prices averaged at US$596.2/ton FOB in October, rising by 3.1% from a month ago while falling by 6.2% year on year.
In October, Korea was the largest importer of the Japanese HRC with 173,005 tons, rising by 8.9%; China was the second largest one with 89,969 tons, increasing by 4.8% and the US was the third largest one with 27,584 tons, falling by 11.5%, all compared to the figures in the same month of 2012.
