Russian Steel Output Fell in The First Half of The Year

 The national bureau of statistics announced, in the first half of 2013 the Russian steel production fell 2.8% year on year, to 34.7 million tons. Iron production fell by 0.8%, to 25.1 million tons. Finished product rolling production fell by 1.5%, to 28.1 million tons. At the same time, the steel pipe output has increased by 7.4%, to 4.9 million tons.

0.7% growth in the first half of the coal mines for 171 million tons. Metallurgical coke production fell by 4%, to 13 million tons.

It is said that Russia iron production rose 5.2% in 2012, 50.5 million tons. Steel production increased 3.3% to 70.4 million tons.  Finished product rolling increased by 4%, to 61.8 million tones. Steel pipe production fell by 3.3%, to 9.7 million tons.
