According to statistics released by the China's customs, China's imports of cold rolled (CR) steel products totaled 230,000 tons in October, declining substantially by 15.1% from a month ago and decreasing by 14.2% year on year.
However, the country's exports of CR steel products surged in October with 364,000 tons, jumping by 37% from a month earlier and rising by 19.3% year on year.
In the first ten months of this year, China's exports of CR steel products amounted to 2.786 million tons and the imports were at 2.569 million tons.
Meanwhile, China's apparent consumption of CR steel products were at 5.396 million tons in October, rising by 6.5% month on month and increasing by 14.1% year on year.
