Amor Furniture and Bedding Has Expanded Its Facilities Into a 74,000-Square-Foot Plant

Amor Furniture and Bedding, a producer of promotional upholstery and mattresses, has expanded its production facilities into a 74,000-square-foot plant in nearby Staley, N.C.

The company, which attributes much of its growth to e-commerce sales the past two years, will use the new plant to produce its flagship Southern Comfort upholstery brand.

"You have to know what your target market is, stay focused, and don't chase the latest trend," said Spiro Laousis, CEO. "You have to stick to what you do best."

In addition to e-commerce, the company said it targeting furniture retailers who focus on promotionally priced goods and serve inner-city residents and Hispanics in large metropolitan areas such as New York and Chicago. Those retailers increasingly are seeking domestically produced furniture because of the high freight costs on imported goods, Laousis said.

Founded in 2010, the company also produces promotionally priced bedding under the Sleep Line name.
