Pharmaceutical products manufacturer Vita Health has voluntarily recalled various health products from the Canadian market due to labeling issues.
The labels suggest that the packages are child resistant when they are not, or are missing warning statements for consumers with allergies or existing medical conditions.
According to the company, the recalled products include 'over-the-counter' and a natural health product such as anti-inflammatory, cold and flu, allergy and sinus, and acetaminophen medications, and are said to pose a health risk as the labels contain errors.
The company, which is reviewing the labels of its products, is also putting actions in place in a bid to address the issues pertaining to labeling.
The recalls by Vita Health are monitored by Health Canada, which will continue to provide updates to Canadians as warranted.
