According to data released by Chile's construction chamber (CChC), the country's domestic rebar shipments totaled 46,389 tons in November, rising by 7% year on year but falling by 6.5% year on year. In the January-November period, Chile's rebar shipments amounted to 560,532 tons, decreasing by 3.4% in comparison of 580,079 tons in the same period of 2012. The two major mills to supply rebar are CAP Acero and Gerdau with capacity of 720,000 tons per year and 470,000 tons per year respectively.
