Reportedly, Chinese steel giant Baosteel announced to cut its export prices for austenitic stainless steel coils by US$100/ton, effective from May 10th.
After the adjustment, its exports prices for 304 grade hot rolled coils with thickness of 3mm and cold rolled coils with thickness of 2mm are at US$2,250/ton FOB and US$2,450/ton FOB respectively.
The official of Baosteel said that the price cut was mainly to reflect the current market price trend.
Meanwhile, Taigang Stainless, the largest stainless steel producer in China remained its export prices unchanged due to stable demand over the past two months.
However, Taigang Stainless offered discounts to its customers, depending on the order quantity.
