UK-based The Good Whey Company has selected Eastman Embrace HY copolyester material to develop labels for its Upbeat dairy drink bottles.
The labels are supplied by the UK-based CCL Label Decorative Sleeves and the copolyester is expected to provide a soft-to-the touch feel experience for the bottles along with matte look, 360-degree billboard effect and sustainability.
The twin perforation on the label allows the users to tear and remove it easily as well as facilitates easy detection of the bottle in the recycling stream.
Eastman Embrace HY copolyester is claimed to offer better on-the-shelf presence with contoured containers.
Eastman EMEA specification sales and marketing manager Anthony Sammut said the copolyester is a sustainable packaging option for brand owners, offering a 30% lower density and requiring less material.
"By using Embrace HY for its labels, The Good Whey Company was able to use a custom-designed clear PET bottle -- which is recyclable -- with a tapered waist, instead of having to use a pigmented bottle with a shrink label," Sammut added.
The Good Whey Company brand manager Susie Hignett said, "The Upbeat packaging requires a premium finish to reflect the high quality of the product inside the bottle, and using Eastman Embrace? HY copolyester has allowed us to do just this."
