Japan's Stainless Steel Imports Totaled 13,637 Tons in September, Slumping by 29.3%

According to statistics released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance, the country’s imports of stainless steel products totaled 13,637 tons in September, slumping by 29.3% from 19,290 tons in a month ago. Meanwhile, the country’s import prices of stainless steel products averaged at US$3118.13/ton in September, up by 0.9% month on month. In September, Korea was the largest stainless steel product exporter to Japan with 10,009 tons, slumping by 31.2%; Taiwan was the second largest one with 1,388 tons, falling by 13.9% and China was the third largest one with 1,030 tons, decreasing by 42.4%, all compared to those in a month ago.
