UK-based Beacon Packaging has installed a new packaging machine worth £1.1m to increase its production volume.
The new machine is manufactured by Italian firm Sipack. Beacon has received funds from a hire purchase facility from Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance for the purchase of the machine.
According to the company, the machine is expected to add around 20-25% to production volume capability, enhancing the productivity of the site.
With the new machine in place, the company can also convert larger blanks and can produce certain boxes efficiently.
Beacon Packaging currently has a workforce of 95 and produces over 200,000 boxes per day for consumable goods, pharmaceutical and cosmetics sectors.
