Grohe Has Been Nominated for The German Sustainability Award

Grohe, bathroom sanitaryware manufacturer, has been nominated for the German Sustainability Award, which aims to promote sustainable excellence.

The company – one of three shortlisted for the Resource Efficiency 2014 special award – produces the EcoJoy product range, designed to reduce water consumption by up to 50%, and the Blue water system, said to have a carbon footprint less than that of bottled mineral water.

Grohe AG chief sales officer Michael Rauterkus said being nominated for the award was “an invaluable confirmation of our efforts and our products”. He added: “When taking decisions, we are very much aware of the sustainability implications and this awareness of sustainability is shared by all our employees.”

Grohe is one of 14 companies and nine communities shortlisted for the German Sustainability Award, which received more than 800 entries. The seventh annual awards will be presented in Düsseldorf on November 28.
