Japan’s exports of cold rolled (CR) steel coils and sheets totaled 309,043 tons in April, decreasing by 0.8% from a month ago but rising by 33.4% year on year, according to data released by Japan’s Ministry of Finance.
In the first four months of this year, the country’s exports of CR steel coils and sheets amounted to 1.1 million tons, up by 7% year on year.
In the given period of time, the exports of CR steel sheets and coils made to China totaled 327,053 tons, decreasing by 15.4%; those to Thailand were at 167,900 tons, increasing by 28.7% and those to Indonesia were at 139,557 tons, rising by 2.5%, all compared to those in the same period of 2012.
