Turkey’s imports of seamless steel pipes totaled 165,219 tons in the January-September period, rising by 9.74% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the country’s export values generated by seamless steel pipes totaled US$226.43 million in the given period of time, rising by 3.41% year on year. In the third quarter, Turkey’s imports of seamless steel pipes were at 66,673 tons, jumping by 27.15% year on year and soaring by 31.4% from the previous quarter. In September alone, the country’s seamless steel pipe imports totaled 26,013 tons, jumping by 47.36% from August and surging by 113.72% year on year.
