The North East England-based company, the UK's only high volume supplier to specialise in both the design and manufacture of a range of plastic containers incorporating innovative application and dispensing solutions, has been appointed by Curaden International, a global supplier of dental products, to manufacturer two styles of coloured plastic tooth picks plus clear and white boxes.
This latest order has been secured shortly after the manufacturer announced a major investment programme at its north east plant, commencing with the acquisition of new injection blow moulding equipment, facilitating a move into the manufacture of a range of new products.
With a value in excess of £200,000 annually, under the contract, Sone will be required to manufacture over 66m toothpicks along with plastic containers for retail across Scandinavia.
Speaking about selecting Sone to produce these products, Curaden's international sales director, Richard Thomas said: "We decided to work with Sone for a number of reasons, namely because of the improved cost effectiveness and the more beneficial production and delivery solutions they were able to offer. We have also found the team to be been extremely professional at all levels, providing us with a seamless transition process to bring the manufacturing to the UK."
