It’s reported that China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmakers in Taiwan is going to release its price policy for July and August.
Industry sources predicted that CSC might cut its prices by US$30~US$40/ton for July and August after Chung Hung Steel, the other major steelmaker in Taiwan announced to cut list prices by NT$600~NT$1,100/ton for June.
It’s learned that Chung Hung Steel announced to cut its list prices for hot rolled and cold rolled steel products by NT$600/ton respectively. Also, it reduced its list prices for galvanized steel products by NT$1,100/ton.
Meanwhile, CSC may cut prices due to oversupply in global market, decreased steel prices in the Chinese market.
