NISC Planned to Close Its Cold Rolled and Pickle Plant

Reportedly, Japanese Nippon Steel & Sumikin Coated Sheet Corporation (NISC) planned to close its cold rolled and pickle plant in order to minimum lost for costs saving. The decision will affect NISC's two mills in west Japan, which monthly production capacity reached 50,000 tons. In the meantime, NISC is likely to focus on the overseas market which including the coated sheet business with Australian BlueScope Steel Limited and the production center in Vietnam. NISC will also expect to improve its coated production capacity in Japan in order to expand its product line.
