It's reported that the Taiwanese galvanized steel mills planned to hike the export prices by US$10~US$20/ton for next January in order to reflect higher input costs.
It's known that China Steel Corp. (CSC) and Chung Hung Steel, the two major carbon steelmakers in Taiwan both announced to raise the list prices for hot rolled steel prices by NT$300~NT$350/ton and NT$400/ton respectively, boosting the galvanized steelmakers' input costs.
Traders said that the Asian major steelmakers will not cut prices further to gain order even though the demand remains flat.
