According to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the country’s rebar exports totaled 697,280 tons in November, soaring by 13.96% year on year and up by 0.61% from a month ago.
The export revenues generated by rebar totaled US$400.57 million in November, rising by 11.32% year on year and increasing by 0.68% from a month ago.
In November, Iraq was the largest importer of the Turkish rebar with 150,850 tons, increasing by 9.5%; Yemen was second largest one with 92,524 tons, soaring by 79.5% and Israel was the third largest one with 70,844 tons, jumping by 55.6%, all compared to the figures in the same month of 2012.
In the January-November period, Turkey’s rebar exports amounted to 7.32 million tons, falling by 3.28% year on year. The export revenues totaled US$4.28 billion, decreasing by 10.07% year on year.
