The steel giant ArcelorMittal predicted that the CIS's steel demand would remain strong till 2018. Besides, it's expected that the CIS's steel consumption would reach 72 million tons, calculating according to the annual growth rate of 4.2%. The steel giant said that the CIS's steel demand growth rate averaged at 3.4% during 2008 through 2013. Furthermore, the growth rate is expected to be at 4.2% in the next 5 years. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal owns two steel mills in the CIS, including ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih in Ukraine and ArcelorMittal Temirtau in Kazakhstan.
