European manufacturers of woodworking machinery and tools achieved a 10.2% hike in turnover to €5.9bn in 2011, according to the annual report of the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (Eumabois). The report was created on occasion of the federation‘s annual general assembly on 12 October 2012 in Istanbul and published in mid-November. Germany made the single largest contributed to turnover of 42.5%, followed by Italy, which accounted for 28.8% of the European turnover. Other important producer countries include Austria (4.3%) and Spain (3.8%).
