China Steel Corp. (CSC), the largest carbon steelmaker in Taiwan will release its prices for AP plates (materials without mill certificate) for October in next week. Previously, CSC planned to raise its AP plate prices for September, supported by increasing steel prices in global market. However, CSC finally decided to remain AP plate prices unchanged for September, considering to the difficulty that the downstream buyers faced. Nevertheless, the prices of steel plates offered by the Chinese steel mills have increased by around US$25~US$30/ton over the past two weeks. It's said that CSC might raise its prices for AP plates for October.
