TSMC's July sales were 37% up on July 2011 at $1.6bn and up from the $1.4bn sales in June 2012.
For the first nine months of the year TSMC had sales of $9.3bn which is 13.6% up on the first nine months of 2011.
Reports say the company is facting decreasing fab utilisation, an ordering slow-down in Q4 and discounting on Q4 wafers.
However, with a similar bounce in July figures from UMC, the Taiwan foundries may enjoy a better year than they were expecting back in Q2.
