Brazil's Exports of Steel Long Products in March,Slumping by 42.3% From a Month Ago

According to data released by Brazil's Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), the country's exports of steel long products totaled 42,633 tons in March, slumping by 42.3% from a month ago. Among them, the exports of wire rods plummeted by 64% from February to 7,849 tons. The average prices were at US$665.7/ton FOB, higher than US$644.8/ton FOB in a month ago. Meanwhile, the rebar exports totaled 26,957 tons in March, decreasing by 32% month on month. The export values generated by rebar were at US$20.9 million FOB, falling by 27% month on month.
