Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan announced to leave its domestic prices stainless cold rolled coils (CRC) and plates unchanged for June in order to reflect lower nickel prices and depreciated Japanese Yen against US dollar.
NSSC said that nickel prices averagedat US$6.78/lb., falling by US$0.31/lb. from a month ago. At the same time, the Japanese Yen depreciated against the US dollars.
Meanwhile, NSSC also remained its domestic prices for ferritic CRC unchanged for June as the weaker Japanese Yen offset increased ferrochrome prices.
