According to report of the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), the global stainless steel output totaled 9.4 million tons in the first quarter of this year, rising by 6% year on year.
In the first quarter of this year, the stainless steel output in Asian region totaled 2.1 million tons, falling by 3.6% year on year.
Meanwhile, the stainless steel output in the Eastern Europe fell by 3%; that in Western Europe and Africa declined by 2.8%, both compared to those in the same period of a year ago.
However, China’s crude stainless steel output increased significantly by 18.3% year on year to 4.4 million tons in the first quarter of this year.
