AGC Has Made an Agreement with Adeka Corp. to Acquire a 78.75% Stake of Kashima Chemical

Asahi Glass Co. Ltd. (AGC) has made an agreement with Adeka Corp. to acquire a 78.75 percent stake of Kashima Chemical Co. Ltd., according to an announcement from AGC. Kashima will now act as a subsidiary of AGC.

Kashima Chemical is a supplier of epichlorohydrin, a raw material for epoxy resins which are used in both the auto and electronics industries, according to the announcement.
