Australia-Based Indya Foods Has Recalled Haldiram's Nagpur Indian Snacks Tasty Nuts

Australia-based Indya Foods has recalled Haldiram's Nagpur Indian Snacks Tasty Nuts as it contains aflatoxin beyond permitted levels in the Food Standards Code, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) announced.

The product associated with the recall is Haldiram's Nagpur Indian Snacks Tasty Nuts - spiced coated fried peanuts - from India with a Best Before date of 16 June 2014.

Packed in 150g and 350g foil packet, the product was sold from Indian supermarkets and other independent grocery stores across Victoria and South Australia.

Consumers are advised not to consume the recalled product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Consumption of the product containing aflatoxin may cause liver disease in humans.
