Krones is known to be a market leader for beverage filling and packaging technology. So, when it developed a complete next generation valve range with appeal for the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors as well as its regular audience, it made sense to create a stand-alone business for it.
Evoguard GmbH began business operations at the beginning of January. The new company is located in Nittenau, Germany, and is owned 100 per cent by Krones AG.
The cutting edge, broad spectrum valve range grew out of of Krones' development work for the food and beverage industry. It released its own series of innovative valves that are optimally matched to the needs of the food and beverage industry as well as the dairy sector several years ago under the name, Evoguard.
Then long years of experience in valve development and an extensive knowledge of what its customers wanted led to the development of a full range that is an attractive proposal for a wider market.
So, to accelerate sales growth in sectors outside the food and beverage industry, Krones has spun off its valve technology operations from its core business into a stand-alone unit. As an independent and autonomous company, Evoguard GmbH gains a favourable cost structure, high flexibility, and the efficient decision-making of a streamlined management structure - all of which lead to benefits for its customers.
Evoguard valves are produced in Nittenau, where the 4,000m2 production and administration building houses the R&D, design, sales and assembly operations. In the years ahead, Evoguard will lead with its assurances of providing reliable components and "Made in Germany" quality.
