According to statistics released by the US Department of Commerce (DOC), the country's imports of stainless steel products totaled 100,628 tons in December, jumping by 46.4% from a month ago. Meanwhile, this was the highest level since January, 2013. Among them, 35,728 tons were stainless semis, soaring by 233.3%; 19,814 tons were stainless cold rolled sheets, rising by 13.04% and 3,392 tons were stainless oil country tubular goods (OCTG), jumping by 200.4%, all compared to the figures in a month ago.
