In order to get for more orders and help its buyers to cost down, Taiwan's China Steel Corp. (CSC) has released several price promotions recently which the offer deals even lower than the current market prices. One market participant said CSC do really offer good deals in the market; for example, its offer for cold roll steel coil is under US$600/MT and the offer for steel wire & bar is about US$610/MT which is almost the same price level as China's offer. CSC said those sepcial offers are basically for long distances and new developing market; also, the offers only available on specific types of steel products.
