On October 18th, 2015, "MEI Awards" Ceremony and Product Launch (Guangzhou) was held at the Grand View Hall, 42th Floor, Westin Pazhou Hotel. 31 enterprises awarded from more than 2,600 entries and received the "Made-in-China" trophies and certificates which represent high quality Made-in-China products .Representatives of national Chambers of Commerce, international buyers, media witnessed the glory moment. Manufacturing Excellence & Innovation Awards, launched in 2011,was held by Made-in-China.com once a year .Mr. Xu Jianfeng, the president of Made-in-China.com said, as one of leading domestic B2B platforms, Made-in-China.com aims to launch the Made-in-China products to the world from the very beginning of the establishment .’We felt profoundly that it’s crucial time for transforming and upgrading Chinese manufacturing industry few years ago, that’s why we launched the non-profit selection event.
One of the members of events juries, General Manager from Orchard Supply Hardware(China), Procurement Support Center, Mr. Zhaoyong shared more details of the selection event in 2015, "’MEI Awards’ collected 2,600 pieces products from 3.3 million Chinese enterprises carefully, ranked 300 entries in the first round, and selected the most representative 31 Made-in-China products eventually by the jury of domestic products design experts and international large procurement business, according to products process, performance, human-computer interaction, industrial design, and market potential etc. It’s one in a million." The organizer ’Made-in-China.com’ has spent 10 million in Global Products launches during the whole year for these award-winning products. While explaining why Made-in-China.com spends a large sum of money on this event, Mr. Xu Jianfeng said, we feel that the overall level of Chinese manufacturing is uneven at present. Excellent products can’t be widely known due to various reasons. Made-in-China products can not promote positive images from the help of social cognitive level. People used to get image of cheap, low-quality Made-in-China products from different media. This also leads to the reality that it’s really hard for Chinese enterprises to create new brands .
We hope to do a job that, by promotion campaigns , ’Made-in-China’ will become synonymous with high quality products, while the "MEI" will be the keyword of "Made-in-China". After the award ceremony, global buyers participated in the event had face- to-face meetings with award-winning enterprises. These buyers come from Mexico, Ireland, Senegal, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Australia and other countries. It’s know that the Guangzhou event was the second stop of "MEI Awards" product launch after the first one held in Shanghai on 22nd last month. "MEI Awards" committee will take these award-winning products to hold overseas launches and promotion tours in Tokyo, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Istanbul and other important trading market. It is also worth to mention that, both entries and award-winning overseas launches, companies are not required to pay any fees.
