Chinese Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng who is visiting Algeria met with the Prime Minister of Algeria Abdelmalek Sellal on April 11, exchanging views on co-constructing “One Belt and One Road” and strengthening the bilateral cooperation in industry, infrastructure, agriculture, trade and tourism.
Gao Hucheng and Amara Benyounes, Algeria Minister of Trade, co-held the 7th Joint Commission of Economy and Trade on April, 10.
Gao said that bilateral cooperation in all fields have gained substantial progress in recent years. The initiative of “One Belt and One Road” put forward by China was coincided highly with the direction of Algeria’s economic development. He said that after more than 30 years’ reform and opening up, China has accumulated rich industrial development experience and the high price performance ratio competitive capacity that suit Algeria’s development demands. China will encourage Chinese enterprise to expand investment and cooperation in the fields of high-speed rail, electric power, steel, cement, minerals, oil and gas, and new energy.
Amara Benyounes expressed that Algeria is willing to co-construct “One Belt and One Road” with China, and welcome Chinese enterprises to take part in Algeria’s construction in the fields like infrastructure, and enrich the contents of the comprehensive strategic partnership.
