On the sidelines of Premier Li Keqiang’s visit to Europe, entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), led by its President Zhang Yujing, organized a delegation of 230 Chinese entrepreneurs alongside and successfully held the China-France Economic Summit and Explanation Session of Economic and Trade and Investment Environment in Paris in Toulouse and Paris respectively on June 29-July 2.
I. China-France Economic Summit Successfully Held
The China-France Economic Summit held in Toulouse, Midi-Pyrénées, France on July 2 is an important activity attended by Premier Li Keqiang on his visit to France. It was hosted by Chinese Ministry of Commerce, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and French Ministry of Economy, Industry and Digitization, and undertaken by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products and Comité France-Chine. Attending and addressing the closing ceremony were Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, French Premier Manuel Valls, Chinese Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng, French Economic Minister Ma Kelong, President of CCCME Zhang Yujing and President of Comité France-Chine and Chairman of Suez Environnement Jean-Louis Chaussade. Attending were also over 600 people from the governmental departments of both sides, leading enterprises and media.
Premier Li Keqiang made a keynote speech on China’s economic situation and China-France trade and economic relations at the meeting, guiding a direction for China-France trade and economic development. Minister Gao Hucheng spoke highly of the topics discussed at the summit and he expected to raise bilateral trade and economic cooperation into a new step. President Zhang Yujing briefed on the constituents of Chinese entrepreneur delegation and its visit fruits. She hoped to strengthen the cooperation with French business circle on implementing the “Silk and Road” planning and promoting innovative development of manufacturing in line with the requirements and orientation proposed by countryleaders of both sides, and make contribution to the further development of China-France trade and economic relations.
Under the witness of Premier Li Keqiang and Premier Manuel Valls, the the signing ceremony of China-French business projects were conducted, including 22 cooperation projects covering energy, communications, environmental protection, finance and Internet. Cooperation agreement with over US$ 10 billion was signed between Chinese and French enterprises. Vice President of CCCME Liu Chun chaired the signing ceremony.
During the discussion, Chinese business representatives like the China Mobile, ZTE Corporation and China National Building Materials Group Corporation and French business representatives like Suez Environnement, Schneider Electric and Airbus Corporation talked about the environment and future life, digital revolution and future industry, the impact of environmental and digital revolution on business transformation and jointly shared broad prospect of bilateral cooperation in the future.
On the eve of the summit, 400 business representatives from both sides attended the opening dinner and had in-depth communication in Toulouse.
II. Explanation Session of Economic and Trade and Investment Environment in Paris and business negotiation meeting held
The CCCME, CCIP and Paris Business Development Department held an explanation session of economic and trade and investment environment in Paris in le 18e arrondissement de Paris on the morning of June 30, and over 200 entrepreneurs of both sides attended the activity. At the session, vice president Liu Chun and vice governor of le 18e arrondissement de Paris addressed the meeting separately. The Paris Business Development Department and CCIP introduced their preferential policies in taxation, business registration, and sites provided for Chinese enterprises. Representatives from China’s Netease Corporation and Xin Zhongshi Company also shared their experience of cooperation with French enterprises.
Over 60 Chinese enterprises had in-depth talks with over 50 French enterprises on CNC machine, automobile moulds, talents cooperation, trading market and biological medicine, and preliminarily reached consensus on various cooperation.
On its visit to France, the CCCME also organized trade promotion delegation to the Airbus company to visit the work flow of A380 and its latest production ideas. A complete success has made through CCCME’s visit to France.
