Prices of Farm Produce Continue Falling and Prices of Production Means Remain Steady

According to the monitoring of MOFCOM, the prices of farm produce in 36 large and medium-sized cities continued falling, and the prices of production means in circulation remained the same as the previous week (September 14–September 20).

Last week, prices of chicken and eggs went down totally, with the price of eggs down 0.8% and chicken 0.2%. The average price of aquatic product decrease 0.4%, with the prices of little yellow croaker, crucian and carp down 1.3%, 0.7% and 0.7% respectively. The average price of 18 kinds of vegetables was down 0.3% compared with the previous week, with the price of celery, chili and fresh ginger down 7.6%, 5.6% and 5.1% respectively. The price of meat fluctuated slightly, with the price of pork down 0.8%, beef and mutton up 0.4% and 0.7% respectively. The price of edible oil fluctuated slightly, with the price of soybean oil down 0.1%, rapeseed oil and peanut oil up 0.1% respectively. The prices of grain food remained steady totally, with the price of rice the same as the previous week and flour up 0.3%.

Last week, the price of steel was down 0.7% compared with the previous week, with those of high speed wire rod and normal middle plate down 1.1% and 1% respectively. The prices of basic chemical raw materials decreased 0.4%, with those of sulfuric acid and sodium carbonate down 0.9% and 0.3% respectively, carbinol and caustic soda up 0.2%. The price of coal dropped 0.2%, with those of coking coal and steam coal down 0.4% and 0.2% respectively, and blind coal the same as the previous week. The price of fertilizer fluctuated slightly, with those of both KCL and NPK up 0.3%, urea down 0.2%, DAP the same as the previous week. Prices of non-ferrous metals increased 0.2%, with those of aluminum, copper and nickel up 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.2% respectively, zinc and tin down 1.1% and 0.2% respectively, lead the same as the previous week. Prices of rubber went up 0.4%, with those of synthetic rubber and natural rubber up 0.5% and 0.2% respectively.
