The Import Promotion Activity of Food and Consumer Goods, hosted by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, was held in Beijing on July 3-5. This is one of a series of the import promotion activities of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau to actively implement the Opinions on Strengthening the Import by the General Office of the State Council.
This import promotion activity of food and consumer goods is carried out relying on the platform of Beijing International Import Food Expo 2015. During the activity, the Foreign Trade Development Bureau actively provided the service of publicity and policy advisory. The main contents of this activity include: distributing the brochures of the food import activity to the exhibitors, buyers and trade visitors, further publicizing and promoting the famous foreign importer and their products, conducting the publicity to the domestic purchasers, providing the information advisory service for the domestic food production and the import enterprises in the public service zone of the food import, introducing the one-stop service platform of the Ministry of Commerce into the Expo, offering the public policy advisory service to the main food producers and importers of this field and building the connection and the cooperation with the exhibition importers and the purchasers.
On the one hand, this activity promotes the effective docking between the producer and maker and the domestic importer of the foreign food and consumer goods; on the other hand, this activity is conducive to the construction of the import promotion platform and has a positive role in reasonably increasing the import of general consumer goods and tapping the market potential of the consumer goods of the imported food.
Beijing International Import Food Expo is an important display platform, trade platform and communication platform of the domestic imported food. This Expo attracts 9 international exhibition groups of the United States, Spanish, Japan, Canada, Malaysia, Thailand, Russia, Korea and Central and South American, covering an area of 15,000 square meters.
