The government has today revealed fresh details on how it plans to manage the national roll-out of smart meters, confirming that it will launch a new Central Delivery Body to help tackle privacy concerns and ensure consumers embrace the technology.
Speaking at the Smart Metering Forum in London, recently appointed energy minister Baroness Verma reiterated the government was committed to completing a nationwide deployment of domestic smart meters by 2019.
