Fao Will Develop Poultry Farming in The Country Over 3 Years

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has entered into an agreement with the government of the Equatorial Guinea, under which FAO will invest $3m to develop poultry farming in the country over three years.

This move is a part of the government's efforts to develop the country's agricultural sector and create income-generating activities in the rural and urban areas. The investment will support the development of family-based poultry farming that employs modern practices.

The initiative will provide training and resources for feeding and care of poultry stock, vaccination against diseases, and general veterinary care.

Equatorial Guinea Agriculture Minister Miguel Oyono Ndong Mifumu said this government program is aimed at developing the agricultural regions of the country.

"This agreement will have a positive impact in rural areas, by supporting the work of its people," Mifumu added.
