When people hear the term “resilient flooring,” they often think of linoleum or vinyl. But this is not surprising since they have been around for quite a while. Linoleum was first produced in the United States in 1872 and vinyl was introduced in 1933. Though there are a few circumstances where adhesive may be required, generally, FiberFloor can be installed by simply laying it down and cutting it to fit. No special installation tools needed, and no mess to clean up.
Besides ease of installation, durability and ease of maintenance Tarkett’s FiberFloor has many other outstanding qualities. Its five-layer construction is very comfortable and warm underfoot, and its dense foam backing provides excellent sound reduction. The construction is well-balanced and dimensionally stable which allows FiberFloor to lay flat and stay that way. Being highly resistant to moisture, FiberFloor can be installed in any room of the house, even in basements. If the basement should flood, FiberFloor would not need to be replaced. Just roll it up to allow the subfloor to dry then lay it back in place. Of course, this quick removal and installation feature is another plus if you remodeled wanted change the floor pattern or color to match the new décor.
