The mechanics of a tube heat exchanger are fascinating because of the simplicity, especially when considering how imperative the process is for certain types of machines. For example, nuclear power plants depend on the large heat exchangers known in the business as steam generators, which boil water to produce power for a turbine. The turbine transforms the steam produced by the boiling water into energy that powers the other machines in the power plant.
