Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) Safety Standards

Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) safety standards: GB7260.1-2008 "UPS Part 1-1 General and safety requirements for UPS used in operator access areas" and GB7260.4-2008 "UPS Part 1-2 General and safety requirements for UPS used in restricted access areas", and electromagnetic compatibility standard: UPS Part 2: requirements for EMC have been released(hereinafter referred to as the new standard) instead of GB4943-2001,GB9254-2008 (hereinafter referred to as the old standard) respectively. The new standards will be taken into effect on June 1st , 2011.some related requirements as follows,

  1. For CQC voluntary certificates which issued by old standards, holders should submit the application for certificate transferring after new standards released and before the next follow-up inspection, and sending samples according to new standards.

  2. Transfer of old certificates should be completed by May 31st, 2012. If those certificates were not transferred on time, they would be suspended. If they failed to be replaced by May 31st, 2013, they will be withdrawn.

  3. For the application accepted before June 1st, 2011 and tested by the old standards, it can be issued by the old version, and the certificate is valid until June 1st, 2012.

  4. Generally, for changing application occurred during the replacement will adopt new standards. If the applicant choose to adopt the old standards, and the certificate period not exceeding May 31ST, 2012. 

  5. For UPS power, CQC can issue the corresponding CB and CE certificate. If you choose to apply with CQC voluntary certification together, it can save time and costs.
