Put on the safety goggles and gloves. Clean the glass where it needs to be cut. Start by drawing a line, where you want to cut it using a scale to help the cutting procedure. Keep the scale on the glass, in same place and take the glass cutter. Press it down while you move the glass cutter from top to bottom over the marked line. This will help score the glass, you might need to repeat it 2-3 times. Turn over the glass and work the glass cutter in same way on this side. Now, place the glass on the table. Position the glass to perfectly line up the score against the table border. Remember, the largest piece of glass that you'll get after cutting it, should be over the table, hence, the smallest piece of glass, should be off the table. Hold its sides, near corners in your hands firmly. Lift it so that the score is just about 2 inches above the table, firmly lower it and break it in one go! If you are cutting glass for the first time, you might find the step of placing it on table and breaking it difficult. Instead, you can place a pencil under the score line. Now you have to apply equal pressure to the glass on either side of the pencil and just do it, yes snap the glass. Try it!

The glass will break perfectly in desired shape.
