From 17 to 26 August, the Zentraler Festplatz of Berlin was transformed into a magical stage, featuring Europe's biggest water show. Flash Art Show Productions' director Markus Katterle and Rock Solid Lighting's lighting designer Jens Hillenkotter created an extraordinary 50-minute performance with 500.000 litres of water, lasers, fire, lights and pyrotechnics synchronously to the music.

From the very early stages of the show, Markus Katterle and Jens Hillenkotter decided to use the V:3D software of Syncronorm. "We used V:3D because of its possibilities to visualise all major elements of the show such as water, laser, fire and lighting," states Jens Hillenkotter. "I programmed the show with a Road Hog Full Boar connected to V:3D while getting timecode from the Syncronorm server. I have never been closer to reality, with this kind of show, while precueing in a studio."

At the Festplatz, the Flash Art team installed a 70m wide mobile water system , consisting of 100 water jets shooting the water up to 55m high, creating an 18 by 40m water screen as a surface for the projected images. Further, the Flash Art team used two 18W solid state lasers, four green solid state lasers, almost 100 under water RGB LED lights, 12 large size flame heads and one 18.000 ANSI Lumen DLP Video Beamer.

More people will be able to enjoy the show, as Aquanario will start a European tour next year.
