New Modified Directive 2011/65/EU Was Released by EU on June, 2011

The new modified directive 2011/65/EU was released by EU on June, 2011, to replace 2002/95/EC and 2005/618/EC which will be abolished since Jan. 3rd, 2013. The national standards "Electrical and Electronic Products-Determination of Six Regulated Substances (lead,  mercy, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers )"(GB/T 26125-2011)and "Requirements for Concentration Limits for Certain Regulated Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products"(GB/T  26572-2011) were published and took effect on Aug. 1st,2011.

In view of above changes, the standard of CQC-RoHS has been updated. The directive 2011/65/EU replace 2002/95/EC and 2005/618/EC, the GB/T26125-2011 and GB/T26572-2011 replace SJ/T 11365-2006 and SJ/T 11363-2006.The certification rules CQC21-020304-2009 is modified to CQC21-020304-2011.

The related requirements are as follows,

1. The new application should be in accordance with new version of implementation rules since the new rules released.

2. For clients who hold old version certificates with three years validity should submit the changing application before the next follow-up inspection, and take differentia test, then the new version certificates will be issued if the product meets new standards. The certificate with one year validity can continue to be used with the validity period, then re-applicate the certificate after expiration date.

3. Certificate change should be completed before Oct. 1st, 2012. The certificates will be suspended if the change is overdue, and CQC will withdraw the certificates for those cannot complete certificate changes before Dec. 30th, 2012.

4. The annual supervision for certificate with three years validity is carried out according to the new implementation rules since the issurance.
