NIKON calls this an entry-level camera but the specs are high-end. The D5200 features a new DX-format CMOS sensor with 24.1 million pixels and an optimised EXPEED 3 image processing system. It shoots full 1080p HD video, has a 3-inch LCD, seven special effects and you can transfer photos wirelessly to your PC with an adaptor.

CABASSE STREAM 3 AUDIO SYSTEM ($1499)

FRENCH speaker firm Cabasse is launching its Stream 3, 2.1 hi-fi system in Australia. It uses a modified version of the company's Santorin 21 subwoofer. The Stream 3 supports a wide range of formats and Apple mobile users can connect via Bluetooth. There are RCA and digital optical inputs, so the system can be hooked up to a TV. Android and iOS apps are available too.
