MetroFlor has developed a combination of engineered hardwood, laminate flooring, and vinyl in the form of beautiful product that marries the best of these materials. The flooring absorbs sound and impact and is warm and comfortable to walk on. They offer two versions of their Hybrid line, Hybrid and Hybrid Plus, and Hybrid Plus is the focus here. It has all the same terrific features, plus a few extras that brings it up a notch.
Hybrid Plus is a type of laminate flooring that looks like hardwood flooring. It is composed of a fiberboard core, a vinyl-backed printed layer, and their finish, or "wear layer," which has a ceramic bead finish. The layers are fused together under pressure and high heat, producing a plank that is incredibly durable.
MetroFlor is committed to eco-friendly processes. Their products can be fully recycled, and they often use recycled vinyl in their production. All of the products have little to no VOCs, they're anti-allergenic, and resist mold and mildew.
The Hybrid Plus floor is perfect in its durability, stain resistance, and strength for residential flooring but is also great for commercial locations as well. Hybrid Plus is also a good product for the do-it-yourselfer because it is cost-effective and can be installed easily with MetroFlor Hybrid's floating locking system. It can be installed over just about any subfloor, and planks simply lock into place. It's a floating floor, so no adhesives, nails, or staples are needed. And it's guaranteed to be dimensionally stable once installed.
MetroFlor's The Hybrid line has quality selections as well, but the Plus line has a few features as well as additional colors and styles to choose from. Hybrid Plus comes in a microbeveled structure, which gives an even more authentic look by having the slightest surface "gap" between planks, giving that more traditional hardwood floor feel.
For the regular Hybrid line, the wear layer is 12mil; the products in the Hybrid Plus line have a 20mil wear layer, giving an even more durable surface. There's a color choice perfect for any style room. You can choose from Butternut with its almost gray wood tone, Dutch Elm in a golden hue, or go really dark and grainy with Imbula.
You've picked a winner with either of MetroFlor's Hybrid products, but with Plus, you get a few pluses that are worth checking out.
