Videojet has introduced the new thermal ink jet printer Videojet 8610, which offers high resolution print on non-porous packaging materials such as films, foils, plastics, and coated stocks.
The new printer, which has a controller with user interface, an industrial printhead and a disposable ink jet cartridge, incorporates a cartridge for industrial inks including MEK-based printing fluids.
According to the company, each cartridge change provides a new print array helping to ensure peak performance due to which the system design brings a new dimension to printer availability.
Videojet marketing vice president Chris Riley said the company has identified an increase in the needs of packaging professionals to in-line print multi-line codes and other marks such as DataMatrix and QR codes, without modifying packaging designs.
"The innovation inherent in the 8610 is our new industrial ink cartridge technology - a fully contained, high resolution print cartridge designed specifically to jet MEK-based inks," Riley added.
