UK-based packaging product development-to-manufacture company, Sirane has announced the opening of its packaging facility in Turkey.
Sirane managing director Simon Balderson said Turkey is the perfect location for the company to open a new base as it has a large population and a large food industry.
"It will help Sirane push into Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa and north into Russia and the Ukraine. Antalya's location as a Mediterranean port close to some of the country's most fertile food production areas is perfect for us," Balderson said.
According to the company, its recent innovations including shelf-life extending bags and films, absorbent fruit pads and odor absorbing meat pads are all products that should be suited for this region.
Sirane Turkey offers access to Russia and North Africa.
The company further plans to introduce other products such as its range of cooking bags to a whole new market.
